About Supplicium

Holocron & Star

IN UMBRA EST VOX
IN SHADOW IS POWER

Supplicium was founded for "Age of Reckoning." Now "The Old Republic" draws near and we are moving to this new game. We were a Destruction Regiment in Warhammer Online but ongoing issues with Tier 4, plus a major billing fiasco, have finally proven too much to justify remaining any longer. Our plans are to form a Sith Empire Guild in The Old Republic. We'll encourage roleplaying in-game but it won't be required. The primary goal, as always, is to be a community and help each other enjoy the game. Our domain will be on one of TOR's RP servers if they are implemented. We feel the call of the dark side most in player versus player combat. However, we will not neglect player versus environment challenges.

Supplicium In-Game

The servers are starting to get busy so I looked for a queue-less PvP server with an ugly name... "Rakata Mind Prison" Laughing

So Supplicium now has a place in TOR. What will happen with it? Who can say... Still, it feels good. Of course BioWare has not implemented much of anything in the way of guild features yet but I imagine those are coming.

A fitting tribute, in my opinion, to a mighty legacy and regiment. Evil Grin

Final Countdown

Well, its been years but we are finally approaching the finish line with Early Game Access on December 15th. Down to single digits, in fact, with it being only nine days away. I hear that Supplicium is still alive in what is left of Warhammer Online. That is good but my thoughts are on TOR. I still plan to found a "Supplicium" guild in TOR, as a form of tribute to our glory days. Though that is probably all it will be, a memorial.

I've been through two Beta events and driven both a Sith Warrior and Jedi consular up to level 24. In my opinion TOR is "WoW with Lightsabers." However, that "with Lightsabers" part ends up adding so much more to the experience than I expected. Yes the game definitely has failings, especially the User Interface and Space Combat. Yet I still had fun playing the "primary" game.

I don't know how long TOR will keep me willing to pay to play. "Replayability" value is still very much in doubt. Yet I'm pretty confident that it will keep me entertained for a month or two. Maybe TOR will be my next year plus game? Only WoW and WAR have managed that rank before so we'll see...

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
